Happy Car Cruising Along a Sunny Road
Coloring guide
This coloring page shows a cheerful little car with big round eyes and a wide smile, driving down a curving road. Its front bumper has round cheeks, and it has two side windows and chunky, toy-like wheels. Dashed stripes run down the middle of the road, with small tufts of grass along the pavement. A fluffy cloud floats on the left, rounded bushes line the horizon, and a big sun with rays sits at the top right. Thick, simple outlines keep things easy for preschoolers and early elementary kids still working on pencil control. Red or yellow would look great on the car, with soft green on the bushes and grass so the car stands out. The PDF is free to print at home for a classroom project or a weekend craft. This fits right in with our Cars coloring pages — see also Ambulance and Monster Trucks.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the sun's center and all its rays with golden yellow, and the cloud with sky blue, leaving the road dashes white.
- 2Color the car's main body, side mirror, and wheel arches with tomato red, then fill the windshield, side window, and left window with sky blue.
- 3Fill the front bumper and the wheels' tires with light gray and charcoal gray, then color the rims and hubs with light gray and steel blue for a bit of contrast.
- 4Color the headlights golden yellow, the smile with cherry red, and the tongue with coral pink, leaving the eye whites white.
- 5Add the grass with light green on the right and leafy green on the bushes and left side, and color the road edge light gray.
- 6Optional: Add a little shading on the car body with a slightly darker tomato red along the bottom edge for depth.
