Grinning Bat Flying Forward With Tall Flared Ears

Coloring guide
A cartoon bat flies toward us with both wings stretched out and a big open-mouth smile. It has a large rounded head with two big round eyes, each with a dark pupil, and two tall pointed ears that flare out to either side. Inside the mouth you can see a few small pointy teeth and a tongue. The wings have curved scalloped edges with thin ribs running through them, and each wing ends in a little hooked claw at the top. The round belly sits below the head, with small feet and tiny toe claws at the bottom. The wide wing panels are good for trying a gradient, such as purple fading into blue, and the large eyes and ears could be colored in contrasting shades. It's also a nice prompt for talking about how bats use their wings to fly. The printable page works well for younger kids because the lines are thick and the shapes are open.
