Eggshell Cap on a Baby Chick Beside a Daisy
Coloring guide
Standing upright with half an eggshell on its head like a little cap, this cheerful chick has a jagged cracked edge zigzagging across its fluffy forehead. Big round eyes with shiny highlights and an open, smiling beak give it a sweet look. Tufts of fluff frame the cheeks, one small wing rests against the body, and a tail feather pokes out behind. Two wide webbed feet keep it steady on the ground. In the bottom left corner you'll find a single flower with rounded petals on a long leafy stem, plus a few blades of grass. Large shapes and bold outlines make this free printable easy for preschoolers and early elementary kids. Yellow for the chick, orange for the beak and feet, and pale blue or pink for the shell would all look great. - 2Color the top eggshell cap and the small piece on the left cream, and shade the right edge of the shell pale tan.
- 3Color the upper and lower beak and both feet tangerine orange.
- 4Fill the open mouth with coral pink so it stands out against the beak.
- 5Color the daisy petals sky blue and the center of the flower golden yellow, then color both leaves leaf green.
- 6Leave the eye whites and the small shine dots white, then color the pupils black. Optional: add a light touch of shading on the body for depth.
