Dinosaur in a Helmet Skateboarding by Palm Trees
Coloring guide
A happy cartoon dinosaur zooms along on a skateboard in this free printable. The little dino has a protective helmet with a chin strap, big sparkling eyes, a wide open smile and two nostrils on its rounded snout. Its arms reach out to the sides for balance, and a curved, spiky tail swings out behind. The skateboard has four round wheels, and you can see tiny toenails on the dino's feet. Two palm trees with coconuts stand on either side, with rolling hills and grassy tufts on the ground. Bold, clean outlines help young kids color inside the lines. Bright green for the dinosaur, a shiny red helmet and a rainbow-striped board will pop against the tropical backdrop. Good for classrooms or rainy afternoons at home. - 1Start with the big green areas: fill the dinosaur's body, arms, legs and tail with grass green, leaving the belly unfilled for now.
- 2Color the belly and the skateboard deck with pale yellow and royal blue, keeping the eye whites and the sky background white.
- 3Fill the helmet with sky blue and royal blue, then add the strap and buckle in bright red.
- 4Paint the palm trees: leaf green for the fronds, brown for the trunks and coconuts, and grass green for the grass tufts.
- 5Add the dark green hills and bushes in the background, then use orange for the spikes along the back and tail.
- 6Optional: finish with bright red wheels, light gray truck parts, and coral pink for the open mouth and tongue.
