Bow Tie Bunny Heads Out on an Easter Egg Hunt

A cheerful bunny with long upright ears and a big open-mouthed smile strides through the garden, holding a woven basket of decorated eggs in one paw. He has a big bow tie at his neck, a fluffy chest, whiskers and a little round tail. The eggs have zigzags, dots and swirls, so there's lots to color. A wooden picket fence stands behind him with rounded bushes, and daisy-style flowers, grass tufts and curved stepping-stone shapes cover the ground. Medium-sized spaces suit crayons or markers, and the egg designs give older kids some detail to enjoy. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the bunny's head, body, arms, legs and tail with caramel brown, and color the ground puddles and the shadow under the foot with cream.
- 2Paint the inner ears with blush pink and the nose with rose pink, leaving the eye whites and the small eye shines white.
- 3Color the bow tie with sky blue, then fill the two bushes and the leaves with grass green.
- 4Color the fence rails with pale green and leave the fence pickets white. Use golden yellow for the basket weave and dull gold for the handle.
- 5Fill the eggs with a mix of sky blue, lavender purple, lime green, bright yellow and rose pink, then color the flower petals and the tongue.
- 6Finish the flower centers in lemon yellow and the small flowers in hot pink. Optional: add a little darker caramel brown along the bunny's belly and under the arm for depth.
