Flying Bee Zooming Past the Sun

Coloring guide
A smiling bee zips through the air with big sparkly eyes, rosy cheeks and an open, happy mouth. It has two curly antennae topped with round balls, one large rounded wing, a striped round body and small stubby legs. Behind it, a dashed line loops and swirls to show where it has flown, which makes a handy tracing warm-up before the coloring starts. A simple sun with short rays shines in the upper right corner. Outlines are bold and shapes are big and open, so chunky crayons work fine for preschoolers and young kids. Bright yellow stripes alternating with black or dark brown look good, along with a yellow sun and a pale blue wing. Print it free for quiet time at home or in the classroom. Fans of Bee coloring pages often like Puppies and Cats as well.
A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- golden yellow
- sky blue
- dark brown
- coral pink
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill both wings with sky blue, leaving the outlines clean and the wing shapes bright.
- 2Color the two dark body stripes and the pointed stinger with dark brown.
- 3Use golden yellow for the head, the middle yellow stripe, the three legs, both antenna balls, and the sun with its rays.
- 4Color the open smile with coral pink, and keep both big eye whites white.
- 5Finish the eyes with black pupils and the small shine spots left white, so the bee looks happy and bright.
- 6Optional: Add a few light diagonal strokes of a slightly darker shade on the wings and yellow areas for a textured, hand-drawn look.
