Bee Relaxing on a Big Daisy

Coloring guide
Here a happy little bee with big sparkly eyes rests on the round center of a large daisy, with its three tiny feet draped over the edge. It has two curly antennae with round tips, a striped body, a small stinger at the back and two rounded wings lifted behind it. The daisy below has wide, smooth petals all the way around, a long straight stem and a big veined leaf on each side. Bold, simple outlines and roomy shapes keep this free printable easy for little hands. You could go with golden yellow and black on the bee, pink or purple petals, and two different greens on the leaves so the flower stands out. A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- soft pink
- golden yellow
- leaf green
- sky blue
- dark brown
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the bee's body and head: fill the head, the middle body section and the little arms and legs with golden yellow, leaving the eyes and smile unfilled.
- 2Color the two antenna balls golden yellow, then fill the flower center with golden yellow as well.
- 3Fill the two wings with sky blue, one at the top and one at the front.
- 4Color the flower petals soft pink, going around the whole flower, and fill the two leaves at the bottom with leaf green.
- 5Use dark brown for the two stripes on the bee's body, then leave the small white highlights in the eyes and the cheek spots white.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading along one side of each petal and leaf to make the flower look more rounded.
