Propeller Robot Flying Past a Rainbow
Coloring guide
Floating through the sky with a spinning propeller on its head, this cheerful little robot holds its arms up and its C-shaped claw hands wide open. Its big smiling face has sparkly eyes, and a round button sits in the middle of its chest. A rainbow arcs over fluffy clouds behind it, and three small birds flutter around the page. Bold, clean outlines and roomy shapes make it an easy choice for preschoolers and early elementary kids who are still building marker and crayon control. A bright blue or silver body works well, with red, yellow and green rainbow stripes to brighten the sky. Print this sheet at home whenever you want a quick coloring break. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the clouds: fill the big clouds in the corners and the right cloud with pale blue, and leave the background sky white.
- 2Color the rainbow bands from outside to inside: coral red on the outer band, golden yellow next, grass green in the middle, and warm gray on the right side.
- 3Fill the robot's head rim, neck and chest with cornflower blue, then use light sky blue for the arms and legs.
- 4Add golden yellow to the hands, ears, chest panel and the top left bird, and coral red to the propeller blades and the feet.
- 5Use deep blue for the wristbands, royal blue for the shoe straps, and bright blue for the propeller hub band; color the smile coral red and the small bird soft pink. Keep the eye whites and small highlights on the arms and legs white.
- 6Optional: add light scribbly strokes in the same direction on each area to give the page a hand-colored, pencil-drawn look.
