Smiling Frog on a Lily Pad, a Pond Scene for Bulbasaur Fans

Sitting upright on a lily pad, a cheerful round-eyed frog smiles with its mouth wide open. Its round ears sit on top of its head, and a large veined leaf rises behind its back. Two dragonflies hover above, and tall cattails and long grass blades frame both sides of the pond. Ripples spread over the water, and two little tadpoles with bubbles swim in the bottom corner. Small hands will find the big eyes, the leaf and the lily pad easy to color, while older kids can spend time on the cattails and ripples. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the frog's head, arms and legs with lime green, leaving the white eyes and the little shine spots on the eyes untouched.
- 2Color the frog's belly with lemon yellow, the inside of the ears with pale cream, and the tongue with coral pink.
- 3Use forest green for the big leaf behind the frog and its edges, then fill the lily pad with leaf green.
- 4Color the grass and reeds with bright green and the cattail heads with chestnut brown, keeping the stalks and water background white.
- 5Fill the dragonfly wings with sky blue and the tadpoles with charcoal gray and medium gray tails.
- 6Optional: add a few darker strokes of forest green on the lily pad for a bit of shading.
