This cheerful pumpkin-shaped bucket sits on a stone step, piled high with sweets, and it's a fun one for little ones. The pumpkin has big round eyes, raised eyebrows, a small triangle nose and a wide grin full of zigzag teeth. Two swirly lollipops, two chocolate bars with square segments, striped wrapped candies, candy corn pieces and a few other wrapped treats spill out of the top, and a curved handle arches over everything. Behind the bucket, tall window or doorway frames show up with leafy bushes peeking in on each side. Small hands will find the big shapes easy, and older kids get plenty of candy detail to work on. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the big pumpkin body, both sides, and the bucket shape with pumpkin orange, leaving the eye whites and the background white.
- 2Color the bucket rim and handle with golden yellow, then fill the triangle nose and the smiling mouth with the same golden yellow.
- 3Use light gray for the two pedestal steps at the bottom, and color the bushes on each side with leaf green.
- 4Add the candy: color the chocolate bars in chocolate brown, the swirl and round candies in pumpkin orange, and the green lollipop in lime green.
- 5Fill the wrapped candies with violet purple, lavender purple, rose pink, magenta pink, and bright red, keeping the white candy stripe and wrapper highlights white.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading on the pumpkin sides and the bushes to make the bucket look rounder.
