This ladybug has big sparkly eyes and a wide smile, and she sits on a large four-leaf clover with a rainbow arching behind her back. A small puffy cloud rests at each end of the rainbow. She has two curly antennae with round tips, six little legs, and a shell covered in big round spots of different sizes that are easy to color. The clover has four heart-shaped leaves and a thick curved stem, with simple lines running through the center leaf. Bold, clean outlines make it a good fit for preschoolers and early elementary kids with crayons or chunky markers. Red for the shell with black spots looks classic, and two shades of green fill the clover nicely. It's a free printable for a St. Patrick's Day activity or a spring craft table. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the clover leaves and the left clover leaf with leaf green, leaving the leaf veins and outlines clean.
- 2Fill the ladybug shell and the top shell edge with bright red, then color the rainbow's outer arc bright red too.
- 3Color the middle rainbow stripe golden yellow and the inner rainbow stripe leaf green, and fill the right cloud with sky blue, keeping the sky background and the left cloud white.
- 4Fill the ladybug head, legs, feet and antenna base with dark gray, and color all the round spots on the shell charcoal black.
- 5Color the smile coral pink and the antenna balls bright red, leaving the white eye shine and antenna stalks uncolored for a sparkly look.
- 6Optional: add light shading with a slightly darker tone of each color along one side of the shell and clover leaves for a bit of depth.
