Happy Octopus With Eight Arms and Bubbles

A cheerful octopus floats in the middle of the page with a tall, rounded head, two big round eyes, raised eyebrows and a wide open smile. Its eight arms spread out in every direction, and each one curls or tapers to a point. Rows of oval suckers show along the undersides of the arms where they twist and bend. Behind the octopus there are wavy lines across the top for the water surface, a few long curved lines for the sea, and small round bubbles scattered around. The thick outlines and large open areas make it easy for younger kids to color. Try giving each arm a different color so children can count to eight as they go, then use a lighter shade for the suckers. The bubbles are good for a pale blue or silver crayon.
