Pedaling down a winding path, this smiling little robot is having a great ride. It has a square head with big sparkling eyes, headphone-style ear pieces, and a round antenna on top. The chest has a circle and a few little lines like a control panel. Its hands grip the handlebars and one foot rests on the pedal. A leafy tree stands on the left, rolling hills sit in the background, and you'll find tufts of grass and small flowers in the bottom corner. In the upper right, a butterfly flutters with a dotted trail behind it. The bike's spoked wheels and the robot's big shapes are easy for small hands to fill in. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big background: color the tree leaves, the grass patches and the left and distant hills in grass green, and the tree trunk in brown.
- 2Fill the lighter meadow areas and the grass behind the bike in light green, then color the robot's head, neck and arms in pale blue and sky blue, leaving the eye whites white.
- 3Color the robot's chest plate, shoulders, elbows and ear cups in bright blue, and the chest emblem and antenna ball in golden yellow.
- 4Paint the bike frame, fork and seat in red, and the handlebar in golden yellow. Use slate gray for the gloves and medium gray for the pedals and the stones on the ground.
- 5Fill both wheels: color the tires charcoal gray and the spokes wheat tan. Add pink to the robot's open smile and golden yellow to the butterfly wings, leaving its dashed trail white.
- 6Optional: add a slightly darker shade along the tire edges and the robot's shoulders for a bit of depth.
