In this playful peekaboo scene, a cheerful little round creature pokes out from behind a tall curtain. It has a chubby egg-shaped body, two small rounded bumps on its head, big oval eyes with shiny pupils and a wide open smile. One tiny hand holds the curtain edge, and a small foot shows at the bottom. The curtain is drawn as long wavy vertical stripes down the right side, which leaves big open areas to color. Simple, bold outlines suit preschoolers and early learners, and the large shapes are easy for small hands. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big round body, the hand, and the little foot, filling them with golden yellow and leaving the eye whites and the shine in the right eye white.
- 2Color the tree trunk on the right with warm brown, working around the creature's body and hand so the edges stay clean.
- 3Fill the open mouth's upper part with raspberry pink, then add the tongue in light pink at the bottom of the mouth.
- 4Leave both eye whites bright white, then color the dark pupils black and add the small white shine on the right pupil.
- 5Optional: Add a few light strokes of slightly darker yellow and brown along the body and trunk to give them a soft, textured look.
