A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start by filling the critter's round head, arms and foot with golden yellow, leaving the eye whites and shiny highlights untouched.
- 2Color the big pumpkin body in tangerine orange, working across each rib so the dividing lines stay crisp.
- 3Fill the open beak with amber and add the tongue in coral pink for a cheerful open mouth.
- 4Give the pumpkin stem a leaf green color, then color the two leaves on the ground: one brick red and one golden yellow, with the right leaf in tangerine orange.
- 5Keep the large eye whites and the small shine spots white, and fill the pupils with a dark color if you like.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading along the lower edges of the pumpkin and the critter's body to make them look rounder.
