Grinning Banana Buddy with Big Round Eyes

Coloring guide
One happy banana stands upright in the middle of the page. It has big round eyes with shiny black pupils, little raised eyebrows, and a wide open smile with a tiny tongue. The stem sticks out of the top, the small tip sits at the bottom, and a few curved lines down the peel show its shape. With no background at all, just bold outlines on white paper, little hands can stay inside the lines without much trouble. Toddlers and preschoolers will enjoy it, and it also fits a lesson on healthy snacks. Yellow is the obvious choice for the peel, with soft brown on the stem and tip. Leave the eye highlights white so the face sparkles. It's a free printable that's quick to set up and fun to finish. A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- golden yellow
- cherry red
- warm brown
- coral pink
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the whole banana body with golden yellow, working carefully around the outline and leaving the eyes and the eyebrow lines alone.
- 2Fill the open mouth with cherry red, staying inside the black outline.
- 3Add the tongue at the bottom of the mouth in coral pink.
- 4Color both stem tips, the top and the bottom, with warm brown.
- 5Keep the eye whites and the small shine spots in the pupils white so the eyes look bright and round. Fill the pupils with black if you like.
- 6Optional: Add a few light strokes of a darker yellow along the edges of the banana for a bit of depth.
