Party Balloons and Confetti with a Troll Girl

One hand waves hello while the other holds the strings of five big round balloons floating over her head. This little troll girl has a spiky tuft of hair with a large bow on top, big pointed ears, a round nose, long eyelashes and a wide open-mouth grin. Her simple sleeveless dress has a scalloped hem, and she's barefoot. Confetti is scattered all around her, including small circles and little paper strips, which makes the page feel like a real party. The balloons are big and open, so small hands can color them easily. Go with a rainbow of bright colors for the balloons, then a bold pink or purple for the bow and hair. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the balloons: color the top balloon and its tie golden yellow, the upper left balloon sky blue, the right balloon bright red, the far right balloon leaf green, and the left balloon orange. Keep the strings white.
- 2Fill the troll's skin with light pink: the head, ears, both arms and hands, neck, and both feet.
- 3Color the dress sky blue, then the big bow sky blue as well.
- 4Color the hair hot pink, including the tuft on top and the strands behind the bow.
- 5Add the nose and open smile in hot pink, and keep the eye whites and eyelashes white. Color the bunched hand holding the strings light pink.
- 6Scatter the confetti with bright red, orange, golden yellow, sky blue, violet purple and hot pink, leaving the background white. Optional: add a little darker shading on the hair and dress edges for depth.
