A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.

1. 1Start with the big wooden beams, ceiling planks and the door in warm wood brown, and fill the floorboards with golden tan.
2. 2Color the bed blanket, Harry's pants and his shirt in denim blue, and paint the pillow sky blue.
3. 3Fill the open book with forest green and the Potter trunk with sage gray, keeping the glasses shine white.
4. 4Add pale steel blue to the meter box and the small wall brackets, and dab terracotta orange on the wall stain near the lamp.
5. 5Fill the remaining walls and the teacup area with pale cream, leaving the left wall under the stairs and the upper left wall white.
6. 6Optional: add a few darker strokes along the wood grain and under the blanket folds to give the drawing more depth.
