Heart-Shaped Leaf With Lobed Base and Double-Lined Midrib

Coloring guide
One big heart-shaped leaf fills the page, tilted diagonally with its pointed tip at the upper left and a rounded, lobed base at the lower right. A thick double-lined stem runs from the base across the leaf as the central midrib and ends in a small rounded tip at the bottom. Thin curved veins branch off the midrib on both sides, some drawn with darker lines and others with very fine light strokes. The outline is smooth with no jagged edges, which makes it easy to color neatly. Try shading the leaf in a few greens, then use a darker or yellower color on the veins to show how they spread out. It also works well for a science lesson on leaf parts, like the midrib, veins, tip, and base. This page can be printed for free and used at home or in class.
