Heart Shaped Rose With Layered Petals

A single rose is drawn so that its outer petals form the shape of a heart, with two rounded lobes at the top and a pointed tip at the bottom. In the center, a tight spiral bud is wrapped in smaller petals, and larger curved petals open outward around it in overlapping layers. Everything is drawn with bold, clean outlines and no shading, so the petal sections are easy to see and fill in. The petals are fairly big, which makes this a good fit for crayons or markers. Try coloring each ring of petals in a slightly different shade of red or pink, starting with the darkest in the center and getting lighter toward the edges. It's also a nice printable for a Valentine's card or a Mother's Day gift.
