Chicken Pecking Seeds Next to a Grain Bowl

Leaning forward with her head down, a plump hen pecks at little seeds scattered on the ground. Bold, clear outlines define her big round eye, small curved beak, scalloped comb and fluffy neck feathers. One large wing with layered scalloped feathers rests on her side, and her tail feathers fan up behind her. Thin striped legs and wide toes stand firm in the grass. On her right is a round bowl full of grain, and small stones and a few grass tufts sit around her. Big shapes and thick lines are easy for little hands to follow, so this free printable works well for preschoolers and early elementary kids. Reddish-brown feathers, a bright red comb and golden yellow seeds in the bowl make a good combination. More like this: explore the Chicken, Owl and Dinosaurs coloring page collections.
