Holly-Crowned Girl Hugging a Reindeer for Princess Christmas
Coloring guide
In this cozy winter scene, a little girl with a long side braid and a crown of holly leaves and berries wraps her arms around a friendly reindeer's neck. The reindeer smiles right back, with a big round nose, large curved antlers and a fluffy tuft of fur on its chest. Her long dress has a fur-trimmed hem and collar and a small round brooch. A few small evergreen trees stand behind them on gently rolling snowy hills. Younger kids will like the bold outlines and roomy shapes, and older kids can spend time on the braid, holly leaves and fur trim. Bright red for the reindeer's nose and deep green for the holly are good picks. It's a free printable that suits a quiet holiday afternoon at home or at school. - 1Start with the snowy ground and hills in pale sky blue, leaving the snow highlights and the white fur trim along the dress hem white.
- 2Color the reindeer's body, head, legs, and tail in warm brown, then add dark brown to the antlers and hooves.
- 3Fill the girl's long dress and sleeve in bright red, keeping the white shawl around her shoulders and the white cuff on her sleeve.
- 4Color the girl's hair and braid in golden yellow, then fill the reindeer's chest, neck fur, and the inside of its ears with cream and pink.
- 5Add forest green to the holly leaves and tree tops, use mint green for the small tree, and dark olive and cool gray for the tree bases.
- 6Optional: Add a little light tan to the reindeer's chin and cheek, and leave the brooch and tree snow white for a sparkly finish.
