Iowa State Flag With Eagle and Ribbon Banners

Coloring guide
A rectangular flag outline is split into three vertical sections, with the wide middle section holding the artwork. At the top, an eagle spreads its wings and holds a long ribbon in its beak. The ribbon loops and twists down both sides, with the outlined words "Our Liberties We Prize and Our Rights We Will Maintain" written along its folds. Near the bottom of the center panel, the word IOWA appears in big outlined capital letters, ready to fill in. The two side sections are plain and open. This printable page works well for a state symbols lesson. Kids can look up the real Iowa flag and color the panels to match, then read the motto aloud together and talk about what it means. The feathers on the wings are a nice spot for fine-tipped pencils, and the big letters are easy for younger children to color.
