Japanese Castle Behind Spring Blossoms and Mountains

A multi-tiered Japanese castle sits on a hill with curved, upswept roofs on each level and small rectangular windows along the walls. Two mountain peaks rise on the left and right behind it. Above the castle, a round sun with long straight rays peeks out over a puffy cloud, and two more clouds float in the upper left. In the foreground, a thick bed of leafy bushes is dotted with five-petal flowers, each with a small detailed center. The lines are clean and the shapes are big enough for crayons or markers. Try coloring the flowers in soft pinks and whites for a spring feel, then talk with kids about how the castle roofs stack in layers. This free printable also works well for a short lesson on Japanese architecture or the seasons.
