Meadow Sunshine Over a Bird Singing on a Leafy Branch

A smiling sun with pointed petal-like rays shines over a hilly meadow, while a small bird perches on a long leafy branch with its beak open as if singing. The bird has a scalloped chest, folded wings with feather lines, and a long tail. Below, the ground curves in wavy patches, with drooping bell-shaped flowers on bent stems, pointed grass blades, and small tufts scattered around. Rounded bushes and a few bare little trees sit along the faraway hills. Kids can color the bird in a favorite songbird palette, then use soft greens for the hills and bright shades for the nodding flowers. It is a nice page for talking about what changes outdoors when spring arrives, and you can print it free for a classroom or a quiet afternoon at home.
