Boy Crouching at a Puddle Watching a Toy Sailboat
Coloring guide
A boy in a scarf crouches at the edge of a big puddle and looks down at a small toy sailboat floating on the water. The scarf trails behind him as if the wind is blowing, and he wears buttoned clothes and lace-up shoes. Behind him, a curved street runs past several houses with pointed roofs, arched doors, and windows with panes. Icicles hang from the roof edges and drip onto the ground, and a small plant sits in one window. Smaller puddles and patches of melting snow are scattered along the road. This page works well for talking about the change from winter to spring. Kids could use pale blues and grays for the puddles and icicles, then pick a bright color for the sail and the scarf so the little boat stands out. It is also a nice printable for practicing careful coloring in the small window panes.
