Jesus Meets the Women of Jerusalem on Good Friday

A bearded man with a crown of thorns and a halo stands in the center of this scene, carrying a large wooden cross that slants across the sky behind him. He leans toward a kneeling woman in a head covering, who also has a halo, and he rests one hand on his chest while reaching out with the other. Two more women kneel on either side with their hands pressed together in prayer, and a small child's foot peeks out near the center. Behind them stand soldiers with plumed helmets and tall spears, plus several bearded men in robes. A cloudy sky fills the background. This free printable works well for Lent or Good Friday lessons. Try soft browns and grays for the cross and clouds, then talk with kids about who is comforting whom in the picture.
