Jingle the reindeer, from Animal Crossing, is striding along with a big round sack slung over his back. He's wearing a Santa-style hat with a fluffy pom-pom, a belted jacket with a fur-trimmed collar and little boots. He looks relaxed and smiling, with a large solid black oval nose and star-shaped sparkles in his eyes. Two wide, leafy antlers curve out from his head, giving kids lots of room to color. With a plain white background, there's nothing to pull attention away. Red would work for the hat and jacket, warm brown for the antlers and bright gold for the belt buckle. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big face and muzzle in light cream, and fill the antlers and ears with light tan.
- 2Color the gift sack, the shirt, the lower shirt, the shoulder collar and the hat in bright red, leaving the white hat band and pompom blank.
- 3Use golden brown for the pants, the leg, and the small forehead patches near the hat, then use dark brown for the boot, foot, paws and right hand.
- 4Fill the inner ears with soft pink, keeping the pants trim, glove cuffs and eye whites white.
- 5Add charcoal gray to the belt and buckle, then fill the nose and the star in the eye with black. Leave the eye highlight white.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading on the sack and the face edges with the same colors for depth.
