Coming straight at you through the jungle is a big, friendly Godzilla-style monster with a toothy smile and wide, bright eyes. It's a chubby creature with rounded spikes on its head and back, a belly with curved stripes, and clawed hands and feet. One big foot with round toenails presses down on leafy ferns at the bottom of the page. Three birds flutter near the top, and the one on the left looks like a toucan with a large curved beak. Tall trees, palm trees and thick bushes fill in the background. Younger kids will like the large open shapes, and older ones can take on the leaves and foliage. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the big dinosaur body, legs, and arms in grass green, leaving the claws and belly highlight white for now.
- 2Fill the plants, bushes, and ferns around the dinosaur with grass green and lime green, using lime green for the lighter leaves.
- 3Color the back spikes and the bird wings and bodies in royal blue, then add golden yellow to the toucan's beak and chest.
- 4Use forest green for the tall trees and palm leaves, and light brown for the tree trunks.
- 5Add coral pink to the open mouth, pale yellow to the belly plate, and red to the toucan's beak tip.
- 6Optional: Leave the eye whites, the claws, and the right side highlight white, and add a few darker green strokes to shade the bushes.
