Kids Baking Cookies While Santa Peeks In

Two smiling kids stand at a kitchen counter making cookies, and a bearded Santa in a hat peeks through the window behind them. The girl, with pigtails and an apron, holds a baking tray with a heart, a star and two round cookies on it. The boy beside her presses a cutter into a blob of rolled dough that already has two heart-shaped and oval cutouts. On the counter you can also see a rolling pin, a shaker, a loose heart cookie and three cutters shaped like a heart, a star and a square. Outside the window there is a snowman with a top hat, a small pine tree and a poinsettia plant on the sill. A loaf of bread sits on a shelf at the right. Try coloring the cookies in different frosting shades, then ask kids to guess what each cutter shape will make. This printable works well for a holiday baking day at home or in class.
