Kids in Pom-Pom Hats Watching Santa's Sleigh From the Door

Two children in winter hats with pom-poms stand at an open front door and look out at Santa Claus in his sleigh. We see them from behind. One child reaches up to pull a long scarf off a wall hook rack, and the other stands in the doorway with mittens dangling and one arm raised. Outside, snowflakes fall over a few pine trees and a small house roof, and a little bird perches on a post near the door. A wreath with a bow hangs on the back of the open door. Santa has a round hat, a big beard, and goggles, and he waves from the sleigh. Try coloring the wreath in greens and reds, then give each child's striped hat a different pattern. The big shapes and open spaces work well for younger kids with chunky crayons. It's also a nice prompt to ask what they would say to Santa at the door. Print as many copies as you need for a class or family afternoon.
