Christmas for Kids Cookie Plate, Milk and Candle on a Stool

A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.

• warm brown
• cherry red
• forest green
• sky blue
• lemon yellow
• light orange
• bright orange
• pale gold

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.

1. 1Color the stool top, its edge and all four legs in warm brown, leaving the top surface lightly textured if you like.
2. 2Fill the plate, the tree cookie and the holly leaves on the candle with forest green.
3. 3Color the candle, the stocking body, the candy cane and the bell cookie in cherry red, then add the bow in forest green.
4. 4Paint the glass rim and the upper side of the glass in sky blue, keeping the milk and the star cookie white.
5. 5Add the candle flame in lemon yellow with a bright orange inner flame, and the bell clapper in lemon yellow.
6. 6Optional: Add pale gold and light orange to the cookie edges and the bell base, and leave the stocking cuff, toe and heel white.
