Feeding Pigeons by a City Park Fountain
Coloring guide
Two kids crouch down in a city park and scatter seeds for five plump pigeons pecking around their feet. The boy, in a hoodie and sneakers, holds out a handful, and the girl kneels next to him with her hair in a ponytail, sprinkling more from her hand. A tiered fountain sprays water in a round basin behind them, with a park bench on each side, leafy trees and rounded bushes around. Tall skyscrapers rise in the distance. There's lots to color, from the tiny seeds on the path to the feathers on every bird. Soft grays and lilac-blues look good on the pigeons, with light blue for the fountain water. It's a free printable for kids who like animals, parks and city life. This fits right in with our City coloring pages — see also Flowers and Forest.

- 1Start with the big areas: fill the leafy trees and bushes around the park with grass green and lime green, leaving the trunks for later.
- 2Color the city buildings and the sky-blue fountain water with pale blue and sky blue, keeping the fountain pool areas in light gray.
- 3Fill the boy's hoodie and pants with bright blue and deep blue, and give the girl's jacket a coral pink shade, leaving her undershirt white.
- 4Add the pigeons in silver gray and light gray, and color the boy's hair dark brown and the girl's hair golden yellow.
- 5Finish with the skin tones in light beige and the benches in light gray, keeping small highlights and the girl's undershirt white for a crisp look.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading under the trees and along the fountain edge to make the scene feel more depth.
