Recess Fun on the Schoolyard Playground for Back to School
Coloring guide
Four smiling kids are making the most of recess. A girl with her arms raised waves from the top of a tall slide, and a ponytailed girl jumps a skipping rope in the foreground. A boy and a girl sit side by side on a swing set, while a boy in shorts and a striped shirt kicks a soccer ball across the grass. The school building behind them has a round window, double doors and a flagpole, and a leafy tree, bushes, a fence and puffy clouds fill out the background. Small flowers and leaves are scattered over the ground. Red or blue would suit the slide and the soccer ball stripes, with soft greens for the grass and tree. - 3Fill the slide in sunny yellow and the girl's shirt in hot pink, with her shorts in royal blue.
- 4Color the jump rope girl's shirt in lemon yellow and her shorts in bright red, then add peach skin tones to faces and arms.
- 5Finish the boy's shirt and shorts in royal blue, keeping the front of his shirt white, and color the soccer ball with white patches left uncolored.
- 6Optional: Add a little golden orange to the girl's ponytail and the slide's lower edge for a warm touch.
