Playground Day with Slide, Swings and Seesaw For Kids
Coloring guide
The energy here starts with a boy who throws his arms in the air as he zooms down a wavy slide. Next to him, a smiling girl with long hair and a flower on her shirt swings on a chain swing hung from a wooden frame. Up front, a curly-haired child in a hoodie and a girl with a ponytail sit at opposite ends of a seesaw, grinning at each other. Behind them stand a wooden play tower with a shingled roof and a ladder, a fence, leafy trees, puffy clouds and flowers in the bottom corners. Small pebbles and dirt patches dot the ground and are fun to fill in. Warm browns and tans work for the tower and seesaw, and bright greens for the trees. This free PDF is easy to save and print for an afternoon at the table. Fans of For Kids coloring pages often like Farmer and Cookie as well.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big sky and trees: color the sky areas sky blue and the tree leaves and bushes grass green or lime green, leaving the clouds white.
- 2Fill the ground and grass around the playground with lime green, then add the slide in sky blue and bright blue.
- 3Color the wooden parts of the playground, the swing frame, seesaw and tower, in caramel brown and wood brown.
- 4Paint the roofs of the tower in bright red and brick red, and color the boy's shirt lemon yellow and his hood and jacket bright blue.
- 5Add skin tones with peach skin on the faces, arms and legs, and use golden yellow for the boy's hair and the girl's ponytail details.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading under the seesaw and slide edges with a deeper shade to make the scene pop.
