A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the skin: fill the faces, arms, and legs of both kids with skin peach, leaving the eyes and the flower centers white.
- 2Color the hair of both kids with warm brown, then fill the girl's pink top with bubblegum pink and the boy's t-shirt with tangerine orange.
- 3Paint the girl's overalls in sky blue and royal blue, and the boy's shorts in royal blue, so the two outfits stand out.
- 4Color both watering cans bright yellow, then fill the wooden fence with wood tan and the background bushes and grass with grass green and lime green.
- 5Fill the tomato plants with tomato red and the cabbage and leafy greens with fresh green, and color the carrot tops and the carrots with tangerine orange and dark brown.
- 6Finish with the flowers, butterfly, ladybug, and big front leaves: use bright yellow on the butterfly and keep the flower petals white. Optional: add a little darker shading on the leaves with forest green.
