Kitten and Puppy Party Pals Celebrating New Year
Coloring guide
Side by side in cone-shaped party hats, a smiling kitten and a happy puppy sit behind a wrapped present tied with a big bow. The kitten's hat has diagonal stripes, the puppy's hat is polka-dotted, and both have a fluffy pom-pom on top. The puppy sticks out its tongue and wears a collar with a round tag, and the kitten has whiskers and a curling tail. Three oval balloons float above them along with twisting curly streamers. Big shapes and clear outlines work well for younger children, and the dots, stripes and fur give older kids more to do. Red, yellow and blue balloons look cheerful, and a purple gift box with a gold bow finishes it off. This free page is ready to print whenever you need it. Add this to your New Year coloring page collection, alongside Snowman and Chinese New Year.
A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- tangerine orange
- honey gold
- sky blue
- leaf green
- lemon yellow
- cherry red
- baby pink
- salmon pink
- ocean blue
- mustard yellow
- burnt orange
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the cat's body, tail, front leg, face and head with tangerine orange, then color the puppy's head, tail and dog tag with honey gold.
- 2Color the left balloon sky blue and the middle balloon leaf green, leaving the small shiny spots on both balloons white.
- 3Make the cat's party hat sky blue with lemon yellow stripes and a lemon yellow pom-pom, and color the puppy's party hat cherry red, keeping the white dots.
- 4Color the gift box sky blue, then fill the bow and ribbon with lemon yellow and mustard yellow, adding honey gold to the ribbon tails.
- 5Add cherry red to the puppy's collar, salmon pink to the puppy's tongue and the cat's mouth, and baby pink to the inside of the cat's ears. Keep the puppy's chest and the background white.
- 6Optional: add a little burnt orange shading along the cat's hat trim and a bit of extra tangerine orange on the cat's belly for depth.
