Kitten Astronaut Peeking from a Rocket: Solar System & Space Fun
Coloring guide
A happy kitten in a headset peeks out of the round porthole of a big rocket ship, paws resting on the window ledge. The rocket has rivet dots, a little antenna on top, two large side fins and a flame blasting from the bottom. Nearby you'll spot a ringed planet, a crescent moon with craters, a striped planet, a cratered moon and a second ringed planet, along with plenty of twinkling stars in different sizes. Kids get big shapes to fill in plus small details for fine motor practice. Orange fur with darker stripes suits the kitten, and the flame can be red, orange and yellow. A free printable for space lessons or quiet time at home. This fits right in with our Solar System & Space coloring pages — see also Butterfly and Beach.

- 2Fill the wide blue bands and the inner porthole ring with sky blue, and color the engine base and collar charcoal gray.
- 3Color the cat's face and ears golden yellow and coral pink, then add rose pink to the tongue, leaving the paws white.
- 4Color the flames with tangerine orange and sunny yellow tips, then fill the ringed planets, stars and striped planets with teal, turquoise, lavender purple and sunny yellow.
- 5Finish the porthole edges, headphones and the purple planet craters, keeping the background white.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading along one side of the rocket and planets to make them look rounder.
