Painting Kitten at the Easel, a Dog Man Page
Coloring guide
Up on its hind legs, a cheerful kitten in a little apron holds a brush to a big easel canvas. The painting has a puffy cloud, a sunny sky with rays and a large flower with two leaves growing from a patch of grass. On the floor by the kitten's feet are a cup of paintbrushes, a round palette with paint spots, a small paint jar and three tubes of paint. The kitten has big sparkly eyes, whiskers, a fluffy tail and an open smile. Its apron ties in a bow at the back and has a front pocket, which gives little hands a nice spot for detail. Print this free page for a quiet art afternoon. Purple or pink would suit the flower, and a sunny yellow sun in the painting will make it look like the kitten's own work. Large open shapes are friendly for kids with chunky crayons. This page is part of our Dog Man coloring pages collection — check out Naruto and Transformers too.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the cat's fur: color the head, body, arms, legs, tail and the outer ears in orange, leaving the eye whites and the chest highlight white.
- 2Fill the apron bib, pocket, bow and straps in sky blue, then add sky blue to the paint cup and the middle paint tube.
- 3Color the easel frame, crossbar, legs and top clamp in caramel brown, and the paint palette in warm tan.
- 4Paint the flower petals and the inner ears in rose pink and soft pink, then use lime green and forest green for the leaves and the cloud in light blue.
- 5Add bright yellow to the sun, the flower center and the paint jar, and color the paint tubes in red, light gray and forest green, with a few palette dots in matching colors.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading on the orange fur and the sky blue apron for depth, and leave the canvas background white.
