Fluffy Kitten Wrapped Up in Christmas Lights

Here is a fluffy kitten sitting upright with its head tilted and its mouth open in a happy smile, all wrapped up in a long string of round bulb lights. The cord loops around its neck and body, and one strand hangs over an ear like a little hat. A few bulbs dangle down near the paws and tail. On the right, behind the kitten, stands a small potted Christmas tree with a star on top, beaded garlands and round ornaments. Horizontal lines suggest a floor or shelf. Big round eyes and fuzzy fur leave lots of space for crayons or markers. Mix reds, greens, blues and yellows on the bulbs so they pop against a soft orange or gray kitten. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the cat's head, ears, body and legs in tabby orange, leaving the paws, tail, cheeks and whisker lines white.
- 2Fill the inner ears and tongue with soft pink, and color the nose soft pink too.
- 3Color the wooden floor and the tree pot with wood tan and brick red, then add the tree in dark green and forest green.
- 4Add the light bulbs: red in cherry red, blue in sky blue, green in bright green, and yellow in lemon yellow, spreading them along the white lights.
- 5Finish the tree star and small tree ornaments in lemon yellow and cherry red, keep the wall and eye shines white, and add a little light apricot on the body for extra warmth.
- 6Optional: Add a few darker strokes of tabby orange along the body edges for a fluffy, shaded look.
