A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the pumpkin candy buckets in pumpkin orange, and color the knight's plume and cape with bright red.
- 2Fill the skin areas of both kids' faces and hands with light peach, leaving the eye whites and teeth white.
- 3Color the dragon hood, tail, and costume arms and legs in bright purple, then use pale yellow for the horns, belly stripe, and toe claws.
- 4Use sky blue for the knight's shield and pants, and silver gray for the helmet, sword blade, and shoulder armor.
- 5Add chestnut brown to the boots and the girl's hair, golden yellow to the sword hilt and cape clasp, and warm brown for the fence posts.
- 6Optional: add a little deep violet shading on the girl's hood and slate gray along the sword edge for depth.
