Scruffy Koala on a Chunky Log Sticking Out Tongue

A fluffy koala sits on a chunky tree log with its head tilted down and its tongue sticking out below its big round nose. The ears are large and tufted, and the fur has jagged, scruffy edges along the head, back, and body. One front paw grips the top of the log while a back foot rests on the left side. The log has rough wood grain lines and cracked splinters at the ends. A few pointed leaves poke out from behind the right end and hang below the bottom of the log. The large open areas on the body and log are great for practicing shading. Try soft grays and browns for the fur, then add short crayon strokes along the edges to make it look fuzzy. The leaves can be green, and the log can have a few different brown tones for the bark. This free printable works well for animal units about Australia.
