Center stage, a cheerful koala holds a microphone in one paw and waves with the other, his mouth open in a big happy smile. The little bow tie, fluffy ears, round belly patch and wide eyes all add texture to color. Stage curtains tied back with bands frame him, and three spotlights hang across the top, sending beams down toward him. Under his feet is a round wooden stage floor with plank lines. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the curtains, top valance and curtain tiebacks with deep red, leaving the spotlight areas for later.
- 2Fill the stage floor with caramel brown, then color the three spotlight beams golden yellow and the spotlight housings royal blue.
- 3Color the koala's head, ears, arms and body with soft gray, the waving arm with rust orange, and the nose with charcoal gray.
- 4Color the belly cream white, the bow tie bright red, the inside of the left ear light pink, and the tongue rose pink.
- 5Color the microphone head and arm with soft gray and the handle with charcoal gray, keeping the eye whites white.
- 6Optional: Add a little charcoal gray shading along the edges of the ears and body to make the koala pop.
