Leaping Easter Bunny Over a Big Egg

Mid-jump right over a large Easter egg, a happy bunny shows off big floppy ears, a round fluffy tail and a wide open-mouth smile. The big egg in the middle is covered in wavy lines and a row of little circles. Four smaller eggs sit around it in tufts of grass: one with flowers, one with zigzag stripes, one with polka dots, and a small striped egg on the far left. More grass blades and simple daisy-style flowers run along the bottom of the page. Bold, clear outlines and roomy patterns help little hands stay inside the lines, and older kids can add detail to the whiskers and fur. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big egg in the center: color its wavy bands sky blue, leaf green and golden yellow, and leave the dots and the white shine spots empty.
- 2Fill the bunny's body, arms, feet and back legs with caramel brown, keeping the fluffy tail and the cheek patch white.
- 3Color the inside of the long ears and the bunny's nose light pink, then add coral pink to the tongue.
- 4Paint the two pastel eggs on the sides: use purple stripes and zigzags on the right and left eggs, and pale blue or light pink with flower shapes on the pink egg.
- 5Color the flowers and the grass at the bottom: leave flower centers white and use coral pink for petals, then finish the grass with leaf green.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading along the bunny's belly and under the eggs to make them look more rounded.
