Leaping Tanjiro Sword Swing, Demon Slayer Action Page
Coloring guide
Tanjiro Kamado soars through the air with his sword raised high overhead in this lively line drawing. He looks back over his shoulder with a fierce, wide-eyed stare, and his checkered haori flares out behind him like it's caught in a strong wind. A long streaky ribbon of motion trails off the top of the blade, giving the pose lots of energy. Look closer and you'll find belt buckles, wrapped leg gear, sandals, and the diamond checks on his coat. No background, so the focus stays on him. The big checkered sections fill in easily, and green and black squares match his famous haori. Deep reds or oranges would suit the swirling blade effect. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the face and the raised hand with peach, leaving the eye whites and the small highlights white.
- 2Color the large checkered haori panels in mint green, following the pattern so every other square stays free for the dark color.
- 3Fill the hakama trousers, the hair, and the shoe soles with dark brown, and use very dark brown for the deepest shadow areas near the belt and lower left.
- 4Color the remaining checkered squares of the haori in dark charcoal, and add emerald green and dark green to the lower center and shadow folds for depth.
- 5Color the sword sheath in slate gray, the leg wraps in light gray, and the small buckles in silver gray; add maroon red to the hair ribbon and shoe details.
- 6Optional: Add light shading with a darker shade of each color along the folds and under the sleeves to make the action feel more dynamic.
