Left-Facing Goldfish With a Scaly Patch Behind the Gill

Coloring guide
A single goldfish swims toward the left with a small round eye, a tiny open mouth, and a curved line marking the edge of its gill cover. Behind the gill, a patch of rounded scales covers the middle of the body, drawn as rows of overlapping scallop shapes. The rest of the body is left plain. A tall dorsal fin with long ribbon-like lines rises from the back, and a big tail fin with a ruffled edge fans out on the right. Two fins hang below the belly and another sits near the tail. The thick, clean outlines make this a good fit for crayons and markers. Try coloring each scale a slightly different shade of orange, yellow, and red, then use cool blues or purples on the flowing fins so kids can talk about how a goldfish's body parts look different from one another. It's a free printable that works well for a quiet afternoon.
