Airport Chase in Lego City with Smoking Jet Tail
Coloring guide
A Lego City minifigure woman with wavy hair leans out of a speeding open-top vehicle that has a roll cage. She's got one fist in the air and a fierce look on her face. The driver beside her wears a knit cap and grips the wheel, while thick puffy smoke pours from the exhaust pipe. Speed lines cut across the front wheels and body so you can tell it's moving fast. Behind them, a rugged off-road truck with big tires hauls a trailer carrying an airplane tail fin, and two figures sit inside. Everything happens on tiled airport ground, with long perspective lines running off toward the background. Action and vehicle fans will like this free printable. Soft grays would suit the smoke, and a bright yellow lead vehicle will stand out from the truck behind it. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big background areas: fill the upper sky and the left sidewalk with pale blue, and leave the smoke puffs white.
- 2Color the yellow vehicle, its roll bar, handrails, and the barrier posts with golden yellow, adding mustard yellow and dark gold to the smaller parts near the driver's hand and foot.
- 3Fill the jet tail fin and its stripes with deep blue and bright blue, and color the small truck's grille and windows with sky blue and ice blue.
- 4Dress the minifigures: paint the pilot's jacket and sleeves orange, her pants burnt orange, and the driver's shirt deep blue, leaving the faces white.
- 5Color the road tiles light gray, the exhaust pipe and pipe base medium gray, and the tires charcoal gray.
- 6Optional: Add a little slate gray shading under the vehicle and along the road to make the scene feel like it is speeding along.
