Letter W Is for Watermelon Slice Worksheet
Coloring guide
A big, bold capital letter W sits at the top of the page, with a half-moon slice of watermelon drawn right below it. The slice has a thick rind band along the curved bottom and a rounded inner section dotted with 14 small oval seeds, each with a dark center. A flat line runs behind the fruit like a tabletop, and three more seeds lie on the surface at the lower left. The word Watermelon is printed in heavy letters along the bottom. The outlines are thick and simple, so even younger kids can stay inside the lines. This printable works well for letter recognition: have children say the W sound, trace the letter, and then count the seeds out loud. Red for the flesh and green for the rind is a natural choice, though it's fine to try yellow melon too.
