Down in a crouch behind home plate, this young catcher holds up a big laced mitt, waiting for the next pitch. His helmet has a face mask, and his wide eyes peek out from behind it. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the catcher's mitt and the bat handle with brown and tan, leaving the stitched laces white.
- 2Fill the helmet, chest protector, knee guards, leg guards and shin pads with royal blue, and use sky blue for the top of the helmet.
- 3Color the catcher's face, hands and arms with peach, then add brown hair and a light blue face mask.
- 4Use light gray for the groin guard and the batter's pants, and red for the batter's sleeve and socks.
- 5Color the catcher's shoes in royal blue, the batter's shoe in charcoal gray, the bushes and fences in leaf green, and the top fence rail in golden yellow.
- 6Optional: add a little dark gray shading under the chest protector and keep white highlights on the helmet, home plate and shoe laces.
