A chubby baby unicorn with big sparkly eyes and a sweet smile lies on a fluffy cloud, and a striped rainbow arches right behind its head. It has a spiral horn, pointy ears, long wavy mane strands, a curly tail and a small star on its cheek. A round cloud sits at each end of the rainbow, and stars and twinkly sparkles are scattered around. Big shapes and clear outlines are easy for small hands, so preschoolers and early elementary kids should do well with it. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big cloud at the bottom and the rainbow arcs: fill the bottom cloud and both side clouds with baby blue, then color the rainbow bands from outer to inner using rose pink, tangerine orange, golden yellow, soft green, sky blue and hot pink.
- 2Fill the unicorn's mane and forelock with golden yellow, butter yellow, lilac purple and rose pink, alternating colors in long flowing strands so the hair looks rainbow-like.
- 3Color the horn with cream at the base, then peach, rose pink, lilac purple, aqua blue and golden yellow at the tip, and add the ears in rose pink on the outside.
- 4Leave the face, body, inner ears, belly line and eye shines white, then fill the hooves and tail with rose pink, periwinkle, pale lemon and butter yellow.
- 5Finish with the small stars in golden yellow, the cheek star in hot pink, and the lower mane and tail curls in light lilac and deep violet.
- 6Optional: add light shading along the cloud edges and under the body with a slightly darker shade of the same color for a softer, more rounded look.
